UPCOMING NEWS & EVENTS!!

It is with great sorrow that I am writing to tell you about the death of Frederick David, our Golf Course Superintendent.  Fred died suddenly late Monday afternoon, March 17.  He was working on the course at the time.   Fred came to the Madison Meadows in 2003.  He was a long time Superintendent in Cheyenne prior to 2003.

Fred cared deeply about the Madison Meadows Golf Course and he took great pride in his handling of the golf course.  The favorable comments about the golf course numbered in the hundreds each year and this was because of Fred’s dedication to our course. The golf course condition improved each year that Fred was here.

Funeral services for Fred were held Saturday, March 22 in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

In dealing with this sudden loss the Board of Directors at the Madison Meadows Golf Course held an emergency meeting last week and is currently seeking a golf course superintendent for the golf course.  Bob Goettle, who has worked on the course for several years, will be handling the course until a replacement is found.  Volunteers have also stepped forward to help with getting the course ready for the coming season.  The golf course is in fantastic shape this spring and we can give Fred the credit for the condition.  We are looking for the golf course to open as always around the first of April, weather dependent of course.

The Board of Directors, Bob, myself and the Pro Shop Staff will be working hard to give you all a great golf experience at the Madison Meadows.  We look forward to seeing you all this coming golf season!

Respectfully yours,

Patrick Stoltz
